Oh hey lbb! Hope you're feeling a bit better! But YEAH man it's hard to pick a favorite, but I'm always happy to scroll through my bookmarks for recs (I will, however, limit myself to three for propriety's sake)

Okay, so, first things first: this one won't be everyone's cup of tea, but I'm lowkey obsessed with something just broke by BeatriceEagle. It's definitely not a lighthearted read, and I'm putting an obligatory trigger warning for discussions of sexual assault, but I love the epistolary format the author used, and the no-kid-gloves examination of how abuse gets reinforced + propagated within tight-knit communities is honestly really well done. Lots of tough questions in this one, and not a lot of easy answers

Next up is I wanna save that light by suzukiblu. BRO. Cannot recommend this fic enough. It's basically a look at what would've happened if Kara arrived on time, with some really interesting worldbuilding on Kryptonian cultural and language differences. I actually can't get enough of it

Finally, I really vibed with In This or Any Other Universe by wildsofmarch -- it's basically a mainline DC comics/Battinson dimensional smashup, where Comics!Dick-as-Batman ends up in the Battinson universe. Excellent prose style, wonderful dynamic between Dick and Bruce -- it's just glorious

Hello eru-vande! It’s another week of sending out some interesting ASKs to my mutuals. 🥰 Have you read any must-read classics? If you did, which was your favourite and why? If you haven’t, what is your favourite book and why?

Oh I think I'be read almost every russian classic books from the mmust-read classic list (not a surprise, we read them all in school), but otherwise I hardly read any, to be honest.

I read the Count of Monte Cristo, and at some point it just disgusted me to the point when i just stopped reading it.

I tried to read Brave New World, but I did a grievous mistake in trying to read it in English, read the first few chapters with 0 understanding what the hell they all are talking about and stopped lmao

I started reading The Picture of Dorian Gray and got distracted and stopped lol I hae to read it tho, i remember that i liked reading it.

I have two books I really love, they both are from USSR

The Two Captains by Veniamin Kaverin. Is a novel about development of the personality in every meaning possible. The main characters grew up from kids to adults, living through October Revolution and the WW2. It's a perfect novel for young teens, it contains love, friendship, loyalty and betrayal and the mind that eager to reach it's goal in life.

And Quite Flows the Don by Michail Sholokhov. Now, this is hard to explain what this book is about, cause it's just so big and complicated, let's say it's about the lives of Don Cossaks during Russian Revolution and WW1. A lot of inner fights of main character, a lot of idiological fights as well between the Bolshiviks and anti-Bolsheviks. Very questionable main character, but we love that (we love characters who act like a real deal person in the books right? I don't think i like him personally but i like a compicated character)

wife what website do you use for the fonts when you do the gradient text? gradient only works for me when im not using a special font and it gives me the ick :(

i use patorjk for gradient text and picsart’s font generator for the fonts! on patorjk you have to type out the words without any fonts, so i just add them later one letter at a time.

also oomf has informed me that my fonts show up as ❓ on android phones ?? which upsets me greatly i might need to stop using the fonts then so everyone can see.. pls let me know if that’s something that seriously bothers anyone

I think either Palmtree Panic or Quartz Quadrant were my favorite zones in terms of gameplay. The JP soundtrack was STELLAR and of course Stardust Speedway was my favorite ❤️✨️ The Metal Sonic race is just peak 👌 (hue hue hue)

I'm a BIG BIG FAN of the opening animation!!!! And like You Can Do Anything is really fun, but I'm actually just so enamored with Sonic Boom idk I just really love that version of the opening 😭 so groovy

The character design for Amy as well is just so good. She is so dang cute in this game 😭 I love her spiky quills and the watermelon color scheme,, she's adorable

This is my very first attempt at drawing the portrait of my Last Dragonborn, Jia. I dreaded to start this piece, but I'm actually very very VERY proud of how it turned out, especially since I considered myself clueless. I'm aware there are things to be improved here (I couldn't draw clothes whatsoever, LET ME LIVE), but I cut myself some slack since I hadn't attempted to draw since I was 12 or so...🥲

As for Jia, she appears in my fic here, and she's a Nord/Imperial spellsword with a weakness—as you might imagine—in the fire element, Martin Septim's long-lost great grand daughter, Akatosh's favorite human, and Miraak's soulmate and smoocher.
